Customer Service Representative – Atkore Unistrut Wellington

My client, Atkore Unistrut, is the leading supplier of metal framing, and cable and pipe support systems in New Zealand, supplying the construction and electrical industry. Established in NZ over 40 years ago, they carry the industry leading brand that has been internationally recognised and respected for close to 100 years. They not only supply products, but also have an experienced team dedicated to providing engineered solutions to many and varied market demands.

They are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their Wellington team. Preferred working hours are 7.30am to 4pm, but 8am to 4.30pm may be considered.

Atkore Unistrut’s metal trays suspended beneath a floor, carry cables.

Duties of the role are (but not limited to):

  • dealing with customer orders/enquiries via the phone, email, and at the sales counter;
  • providing pricing – sometimes off customer plans;
  • helping customers with solutions;
  • dealing with stock enquiries;
  • processing sales orders and credits;
  • managing multiple priorities and keeping track of activities;
  • performing warehouse duties as required.

About you

  • First and foremost you will have a friendly, helpful, can-do attitude!
  • Experience in customer service or internal sales, preferably in an industrial market.
  • Able to understand products of a technical nature so you get a grasp of the Atkore Unistrut products (training will be provided of course).
  • A quick learner, who can not only conceptualise, but think outside the box for a solution.
  • Can work at a good pace.
  • Have a high degree of accuracy in general tasks and data processing.
  • Proficient IT skills – able to use Microsoft Office products, and experience in SAP is preferred but not essential.
  • A strong team player, with a great ethic and able to meet high standards.
  • Good at developing relationships with, and dealing with Atkore Unistrut’s many and varied customers.
