Commercial Services Manager – MAN Energy Solutions

MAN Energy Solutions are seeking a Commercial Services Manager to take ownership of the delivery of their nationwide service, ‘PrimeServ’, in line with the financial objectives. The role is based at their newly equipped Nelson workshop.

The Role

As the Commercial Services Manager, you’ll be managing a team of technicians, who service and maintain MAN Energy Solutions’ products at customer sites across New Zealand.

Accountabilities & Duties include (but not limited to):

  • managing the delivery of technical services to achieve satisfactory levels of customer care – quoting, planning, allocating resources, invoicing;
  • maximising profitability – including achieving acceptable margins, managing costs, and achieving financial targets;
  • managing the performance and conduct of technicians;
  • meeting Quality Assurance standards, and managing H&S;
  • strategic planning for growth and input into business development;
  • reporting and presenting financial information and plans to different parts of the MAN Energy Solutions business;
  • responsible for the Nelson workshop site including safety and equipment.

Desired Candidate Attributes

  • Management skills – experience in managing and developing a service delivery team.
  • Experience in financial control – active management of margins and costs.
  • Experience in strategic and financial planning – for resources to meet future growth.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • A basic mechanical aptitude – additionally you can rely on the expertise of MAN Energy Solutions’ technicians.
  • Motivated to achieve great results and work with other team members to manage and grow the business.
  • Computer literate – experience with SAP or another Enterprise Resource System (ERP).
  • Prepared to learn about MAN Energy Solutions’ products, services, and customer requirements.
  • Task orientated, focused, and a hard worker.
  • Able to travel across NZ.
